It brings many consequences in terms of housing recovery (HR), especially for vulnerable populations. It requires a planning phase that involves a complex coordination between the quality of the houses, and the development of a sustainable housing recovery strategy. There is a limited availability of literature describing how to assess and compare a sustainable and resilient community from the perspective of Long-Term Recovery Groups (LTRG). This study uses interviews with a diverse set to LTRG members to develop a model of the consequences of Build Back Better for post-disaster recovery based on the experiences of LTRG members in previous disasters in the United States. The goal of this paper is to raise awareness of the importance of planning a sustainable and resilient housing recovery, and the approaches/strategies being attempted.</description></descriptions><geoLocations/></resource>
