The data record daily measurements of edible plate waste collected during lunchtime across treatment and control dining halls over a four-week experimental period in October–November 2024. Key variables include the total weight of food waste collected, the number of plates sampled, average waste per plate, treatment assignment, collection time, and weekday indicators. The associated research manuscript is currently under review.

The field experiment was planned for 20 weekdays across two dining facilities (40 observations). Due to scheduling constraints and assistant availability on three days, three observations were not collected. The final dataset therefore contains 37 observations.
</descriptions><geoLocations/></resource>
