Abstract: |

MAP studies allow programmers to make an assessment of product availability and accessibility using pre-defined criteria for coverage, quality of coverage and access. The main objective of this fifth round of the MAP survey was to determine the availability of PSI's birth spacing products and services, with specific objectives being to: 1. determine the coverage and quality of coverage of PSI's birth spacing products, 2. estimate PSI's birth spacing product market penetration, and 3. measure the coverage of non-PSI birth spacing products.

The study was designed to make comparisons possible between three supervision areas: Phnom Penh, other urban areas, and rural areas. The report presents the findings for hormonal contraceptives and condoms for birth-spacing purposes. Because PSI intends to launch a socially marketed medical abortion product on the Cambodian market, we measured the availability of medical and surgical abortion services in the study sites.
|
