First, the CMAD covers all civil wars from 1980 to 2016 across all of the world’s regions except Europe, which enables the investigation of long-term regional and global trends. Second, the CMAD encompasses the corporate market segment and mercenary outfits, which facilitates the analysis of how those actors have impacted conflicts differently. Third, containing detailed information about the relationships behind exchanges, the CMAD allows users to disaggregate market exchanges.
<sumDscr/></stdyInfo><method><dataColl><sources/></dataColl><anlyInfo/></method><dataAccs><setAvail/><useStmt/><notes type="DVN:TOU" level="dv"><a href="http://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0">CC0 1.0</a></notes></dataAccs><othrStdyMat><relPubl><citation><titlStmt><titl>Petersohn, Ulrich/ Gottwick, Vanessa/ Penel, Charlotte/ Kellgren-Parker, Leila (2022): The Commercial Military Actor Database, Journal of Conflict Resolution, online first (https://doi.org/10.1177/00220027211072528).</titl></titlStmt><biblCit>Petersohn, Ulrich/ Gottwick, Vanessa/ Penel, Charlotte/ Kellgren-Parker, Leila (2022): The Commercial Military Actor Database, Journal of Conflict Resolution, online first (https://doi.org/10.1177/00220027211072528).</biblCit></citation></relPubl></othrStdyMat></stdyDscr><otherMat ID="f6063259" URI="https://dataverse.harvard.edu/api/access/datafile/6063259" level="datafile"><labl>Petersohn_et.al._CMA Company List.xlsx</labl><notes level="file" type="DATAVERSE:CONTENTTYPE" subject="Content/MIME Type">application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet</notes></otherMat><otherMat ID="f6063258" URI="https://dataverse.harvard.edu/api/access/datafile/6063258" level="datafile"><labl>Petersohn_et.al_CMA_Dataset_Version2.xlsx</labl><notes level="file" type="DATAVERSE:CONTENTTYPE" subject="Content/MIME Type">application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet</notes></otherMat><otherMat ID="f6063260" URI="https://dataverse.harvard.edu/api/access/datafile/6063260" level="datafile"><labl>Petersohn_et.al._Dataset user manual February2022.pdf</labl><notes level="file" type="DATAVERSE:CONTENTTYPE" subject="Content/MIME Type">application/pdf</notes></otherMat></codeBook>
