The primary purpose of the dataset is to investigate the psychological mechanisms underlying workaholic tendencies in emerging adulthood, with particular focus on the role of experiential avoidance as a predictor and intolerance of uncertainty as a contextual variable . Data were collected using standardized self-report measures assessing workaholism, experiential avoidance, intolerance of uncertainty, and relevant demographic variables. The sample comprises undergraduate and postgraduate university students aged within the young adult range, recruited from Indian higher-education institutions. All responses were collected anonymously, and no personally identifiable information is included in the dataset. The dataset was used to examine predictive relationships between experiential avoidance and workaholism and to test whether intolerance of uncertainty moderates this relationship. While experiential avoidance emerged as a significant predictor of workaholism, intolerance of uncertainty did not function as a significant moderator, offering insight into how individuals may appear behaviorally engaged and high-functioning while engaging in avoidant coping strategies. This dataset is intended for secondary analysis, replication studies, and comparative research in areas including occupational psychology, student mental health, behavioral addictions, and acceptance-based psychological frameworks (e.g., Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
