This layer is image 1 of 6 total images of the six sheet source map, representing the northwest portion of the map. The image inside the map neatline is georeferenced to the surface of the earth and fit to the British National Grid coordinate system (British National Grid, Airy Spheroid OSGB (1936) Datum\n). All map collar and inset information is also available as part of the raster image, including any inset maps, profiles, statistical tables, directories, text, illustrations, index maps, legends, or other information associated with the principal map. This map shows features such as roads, drainage, selected buildings, industry locations (e.g. mills, factories, etc.), docks, parks, cemeteries, ground cover, windmills, city district boundaries, and more. Relief is shown by hachures. (These) quadrangle(s) was (were) scanned at 300 dpi and then georeferenced to the four corner tic marks using the national grid coordinate system (British National Grid, Airy Spheroid OSGB (1936) Datum). ArcMap 9.2 software was utilized for the georeferencing process, and a .tfwx (world file) and an .aux.xml file were automatically generated and saved in association with the digital image. See 'Horizontal Accuracy' for the RMS error of this TIFF image.
