The image inside the map neatline is georeferenced to the surface of the earth and fit to the Pennsylvania South State Plane Coordinate System NAD83 (in Feet) (Fipszone 3702). All map collar and inset information is also available as part of the raster image, including any inset maps, profiles, statistical tables, directories, text, illustrations, index maps, legends, or other information associated with the principal map. This map shows features such as roads, drainage, selected rural buildings with occupants' names, and more. Relief is shown pictorially. Allen near Germantown with his name added to the \"Table of distances\". Vector shapefiles were downloaded from the Pennsylvania Spatial Data Access (PASDA) website which is the official public portal for geospatial data. For this image, the following vector shapefile(s) were used as base maps for reference: ESRI Data\n& Maps 2005 : U.S. Water Bodies (1:24,000); Philadelphia Planning Commission's Philadelphia Street Centerlines 2006. The image was georeferenced to and stored in the NAD83 State Plane Pennsylvania South (feet) coordinate system. ArcMap 9.2 software was utilized for the georeferencing process, and a .tfwx (world file) and an .aux.xml file were automatically generated and saved in association with the digital image.
