The image inside the map neatline is georeferenced to the surface of the earth and fit to the Maryland State Plane Coordinate System Meters NAD83 (Fipszone 1900). All map collar and inset information is also available as part of the raster image, including any inset maps, profiles, statistical tables, directories, text, illustrations, index maps, legends, or other information associated with the principal map. This map shows features such as roads, railroads, drainage, selected public buildings, selected private residences and names of landowners, built-up areas, parks, and more. Relief shown by contours. For this image, the following ESRI Data\n& Maps 2005 vector shapefiles were used as base maps for reference: U.S. Detailed Streets (1:50,000); U.S. Water Bodies (1:24,000); and U.S. National Transportation Atlas Railroads (1:100,000). The vector data was projected to Maryland State Plane Meters, NAD 1983, and the images were subsequently georeferenced to the same projection. ArcMap 9.2 software was utilized for the georeferencing process, and a .tfwx (world file) and an .aux.xml file was automatically generated and saved in association\nwith the digital image.
