Bouffard ; lith de Lemercier Benard et Cie. It was published by Pitois-Levrault et Cie Libraire in 1838. Scale [ca. 1:15,000,000]. Covers South America. Map in French. The image inside the map neatline is georeferenced to the surface of the earth and fit to a non-standard 'World Sinusoidal' projection with the central meridian at 57.662770 degrees west. All map collar and inset information is also available as part of the raster image, including any inset maps, profiles, statistical tables, directories, text, illustrations, index maps, legends, or other information associated with the principal map. This map shows features such as drainage, roads, cities and other human settlements, cultural territories, selected land and sea exploration routes, shoreline features, and more. Relief shown by hachures. Includes inset: Boli\nvia d'apres la carte Lapie (1829). For this image, the following vector shapefile was used as a base map for reference: 'World Country Boundaries' and 'World Cities' from ESRI 2008 Data and Maps. Because the Paris Prime Meridian was used as the Prime Meridian for the coordinate system in the production of the original map, the vector data was projected to a non-standard 'World Sinusoidal' projection with the central meridian at 57.662770 degrees west. The image was subsequently georeferenced to the same projection. A world file (.j2w) was automatically generated and saved in association with the digital image. See 'Horizontal Accuracy' for the RMS error of this image. Please note that the projection will need to be defined and modified by the user in order to display the image with other projected data (see 'Horizontal Coordinate System') and the world file will need to be stored in the same root directory as the image. Note: This image may appear distorted in some common two-dimensional projections, such as Plate Carree, or in geographic projections."}]}},"files":[{"description":"","label":"JPEG2000","restricted":false,"version":1,"datasetVersionId":20339,"dataFile":{"id":2336355,"persistentId":"","filename":"JPEG2000","contentType":"application/octet-stream","friendlyType":"Unknown","filesize":0,"description":"","storageIdentifier":"http://hgl.harvard.edu:8080/HGL/jsp/HGL.jsp?action=VColl&VCollName=G5201_S12_1838_O7","rootDataFileId":-1,"md5":"","checksum":{"type":"MD5","value":""},"tabularData":false,"creationDate":"2015-04-08","publicationDate":"2011-12-12","lastUpdateTime":"2011-12-13T19:51:14Z","fileAccessRequest":false}}]}}}
