image was georeferenced to common points located on scanned, georeferenced quadrangles from the Skorowidz Map Topograficznych 1:50,000 map series published in 1965 by Panstwowe Przedsiebiorstow Geodezyjno-Kartograficzne. For this image, the following quadrangle was used for reference: 273.1 Warszawa PD. This quadrangle was scanned at 300 dpi and georeferenced to the four corner tic marks in the 'Pulkovo 1942 Adjust 1958 Poland Zone II' coordinate system with resulting RMS error of 8.84321 meters. In addition to the quadrangle, this JPEG2000 was also georeferenced to the adjacent georeferenced southwest sheet [sheet 1] and the northeast sheet [sheet 3] from the same historical multisheet map entitled: \"Plan de la ville de Varsovie\" by Pierre Ricaud de Tiregale, published in 1762. The JPEG2000 of the historic map was subsequently georeferenced to the reference quadrangles in the same coordinate system. A world file (.j2w) was automatically generated and saved in association with the JPEG2000 image. See 'Horizontal Accuracy' for the RMS error of this image.
