The image inside the map neatline is georeferenced to the surface of the earth and fit to the New Hampshire State Plane Coordinate System (Feet) (FIPS 2800). All map collar and inset information is also available as part of the raster image, including any inset maps, profiles, statistical tables, directories, text, illustrations, or other information associated with the principal map. This map shows features such as roads, drainage, national, state, county and town boundaries, military forts, churches, and more. Relief shown pictorially. reference points located on digital vector shapefiles. For this image, the following vector shapefiles were used as base maps for reference: the U.S. Census Bureau TIGER 2000 : UA Census Water Bodies, 2000 - New Hampshire (Harvard Geospatial Library file: TG00NHWAT); and the Complex Systems Research Center, University of New Hampshire (NHGRANIT) : New Hampshire Political Boundaries at 1:24,000 Scale (political boundaries) (1992). The vector data was projected to New Hampshire State Plane Zone 2800, feet, NAD83, and the images were subsequently georeferenced to the same projection. ArcMap 9.1 software was utilized for the georeferencing process, and a .tfw (world file) was automatically generated and saved in association with the digital image.
