was georeferenced to common points located on the following two scanned, georeferenced paper maps published by the Survey of Israel: Jerusalem, Old City (1:2500) (1977), and Jerusalem sheet 11-II from the 1:50,000 topographic series (1988). These maps were scanned at 300 dpi and then georeferenced to the four corner tic marks using the Palestine_1923_Palestine_Grid coordinate system. The RMS error for the scanned Old City map is 0.39012 meters and for the 1:50,000 topographic map is 19.12250 meters. The TIFF image was georeferenced in the Israel Transverse Mercator (ESRI: 'Israel_TM_Grid') framework and a world file (.tfwx) and an .aux.xml file were automatically generated and saved in association with the image.
