Pocock which was taken 13 Aug. 1762, Ths. Kitchin sculpt. engraver to H.R.H. the Duke of York. It was published by J. Boydell engraver in Cheapside\n& R. Willcock bookseller in Cornhill, Novr. 1st 1762. Scale [ca. 1:24,000]. The image inside the map neatline is georeferenced to the surface of the earth and fit to the 'NAD 1927 Cuba Norte' coordinate system. All map collar and inset information is also available as part of the raster image, including any inset maps, profiles, statistical tables, directories, text, illustrations, index maps, legends, or other information associated with the principal map. This map shows features associated wit\nh the British Siege of Havana, 1762, such as roads, drainage, built-up areas and selected buildings, fortifications, lines of fire, troop placement, ship locations, ground cover, and more. Relief is shown by hachures; Depths are shown by soundings. Includes indexes for: References to the Moro -- Attack on the Moro -- References to the Town and Harbour -- Attack on the Town and Defences\nof that Side. was georeferenced to common points located on the following scanned, georeferenced paper map published in Moscow in 1976 by the Soviet Union Sovetskaia Armiia as part of a 100,000-scale topographic series: Havana F-17-28. This map was scanned at 300 dpi and then georeferenced to the four pairs of latitude, longitude corner tic marks using the 'NAD 1927 Cuba Norte coordinate system', with an RMS error of 4.13613 meters. A world file (.tfwx) and an .aux.xml file were automatically generated and saved in association with the image. See 'Horizontal Accuracy' for the RMS error of this TIFF image.
