was georeferenced to common points located on the following scanned, georeferenced topographic paper map published by the Instituto Geografico e Cadastral (IGCP) in 1966 as part of the Carta Corografica de Portugal na Escala 1:50,000 series: Lisboa [Sheet] 34-D. This quadrangle was scanned at 300 dpi and then georeferenced to the four corner UTM tic marks using the European Datum 1950 UTM Zone 29N coordinate system, with a resulting RMS error of 4.86475 meters. A world file (.tfwx) and an .aux.xml file were automatically generated and saved in association with the digital TIFF image. See 'Horizontal Accuracy' for the RMS error of this specific TIFF.
