For this image, the following vector shapefiles were used as base maps for reference: Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection 1996 Railroads (1:24,000) and the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection, Natural Resources Center, Connecticut Towns - Master Archive Data Layer (1:24,000). The vector\ndata was projected to Connecticut State Plane Zone 0600, feet, NAD83, and the images were subsequently georeferenced to the same projection. ArcMap 9.1 software was utilized for the georeferencing process, and a .tfw (world file) was automatically generated and saved in association with the digital image.
