Graham ; engraved by J. Callender\n& S. Hill. It was published in 1802 by B. & J. Loring. Scale [ca. 1:390,000]. Covers Maine and portions of New Hampshire, the provinces of Quebec and New Brunswick, Canada. The image inside the map neatline is georeferenced to the surface of the earth and fit to Universal Transverse Mercator projection (UTM Zone 19N, meters, NAD 83). All map collar and inset information is also available as part of the raster image, including any inset maps, profiles, statistical tables, directories, text, illus\ntrations, or other information associated with the principal map. This map shows features such as roads; selected mills, factories, meeting houses, and court houses; drainage; land grant, town, county, state, and national boundaries; distances of each town from Boston and the shire town, and more. Relief shown by hachures. This layer is part of a selection of digitally scanned and georeferenced historic maps of New England from the Harvard Map Collection.\nThese maps typically portray both natural and manmade features. For this image, the following vector shapefile(s) were used as base maps for reference: Maine Office of Geographic Information Systems (MEGIS) hyd24 (hydrography) 2004, (1:24,000); and Maine Office of Geographic Information Systems (MEGIS) metwp24 (towns) 2004, (1:24,000). The vector data was projected to UTM Zone 19N, meters, NAD83, and the images were subsequently georeferenced to the same projection. ArcMap 9.1 software was utilized for the georeferencing process, and a .tfw (world file) was automatically generated and saved in association with the digital image.
