This series contains information on approximately 1.9 million buildings.  Most of the records include: name, location (region, state, street), ownership (public or private) and type of use, such as residential, commercial or educational.  Information pertaini\nng to the physical structure may be included. The data in this series are mainly useful to identify the name and location of buildings that may have had fallout shelters at one time.  However, fields that pertain to technical information on such shelters, for example, blast protection, are usually missing values.\n</p> \t\t    <p> \t\t\tThis data comprises government records extracted from the Archival Research Catalog (ARC).
