The agency also used the system to track all loans and grants made to owners and tenants in urban renew\nal, neighborhood development, and code enforcement projects in certified areas. This series contains information on loans and grants made to owners and tenants in urban rehabilitation projects such as Community Development Block Grants, Urban Homesteading, Urban Renewal Projects, Code Enforcement, Neighborhood Development, and Certified Areas. The data are from applications for housing rehabilitation loans and grants and certifications of final inspections. Each record contains the project, serial, and category codes; state and locality name and code; locality population size; dates of loan / grant approval, action, and final inspection; the borrower grantees' race, age, number of dependents, monthly income, total assets and liabilities, net assets, monthly housing expense, and mortgage payments before and after rehabilitation; the structure's age, remaining life, as-is value, total rehabilitation cost, and number of dwelling units before and after rehabilitation; the date and amount of the loan / grant; whether the structure is owner occupied or investor owned; income generated by dwelling units; total operating expense; total taxes; and other financial and loan / grant information.\n
