On the basis of the errors identified, state employment security agency staffs developed corrective action plans and implemented them to ensure accurate administration of their laws, rules, and procedures. This series contains information from a sample of unemployment insurance payments paid by the state\ns, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. The data elements pertain directly to unemployment insurance eligibility, and include the claimant's benefit history, fringe benefits, base period work, monetary eligibility, reason for separation, ability to work, availability for work, and work search effort. Data on age, sex, and ethnic classification are also included to verify the representativeness of the samples. Other data elements relate to type of error, if any, amount of error, the responsible party, the cause, and the point of detection. Multiple errors can be detected in the course of one case investigation and documented in the database.\n
