This series contains sortie-level data on the operational employment of airlift resources in Southeast Asia and other Pacific Command areas during the Vietnamese Conflict. This series has two subseries: the Airlift Operations Files (ALOREP) and Military Airlift Command Airlift Operations Report (MACAL) files.There are three ALOREP data file types: A\nirlift Mission Data Files (ALOREP1); Air Terminal Data Files (ALOREP2); and Air Traffic Data Files (ALOREP3). There are three MACAL data file types: Airlift Mission Data Files (MACAL1), Air Terminal Data Files (MACAL2), and Air Traffic Data Files (MACAL3). The MACAL1, MACAL2, and MACAL3 files contain data specific to airlift resources under the control of the Military Airlift Command. ALOREP1 and MACAL1 files contain data on airlift aircraft operation and utilization including projected or unscheduled mission; sortie function and priority; takeoff and destination base; time and distance measures; payload and cabin load measures, number of passenger and patient spaces offered and utilized; abort or diversion indicators; and delivery mode. ALOREP2 and MACAL2 files contain data on daily operation and status of air terminals including reporting and destination stations; pallets moved; cargo measures; counts of revenue and non-revenue passengers; and transshipment data. ALOREP3 and MACAL3 files contain data on traffic movement within the airlift system including mission identifier; delivery mode; onload and offload codes; total mail onload; and breakdown of passengers and cargo by shipper, receiver, and commodity.\n
