The agencies used these data for reports and publications. This series consists of three parts: reference data; data from the Regional Economic Information System (REIS); and Time Series Demographic Statistics (TSDS). Reference data files contain geographic unit names, standardized codes, abbreviations, and area square mil\nes for each geographic unit. The reference data are available for five spatial aggregations: 1) counties; 2) states; 3) Coastal Watersheds (from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Coastal Assessment Framework (CAF)); 4) whole watersheds (coastal and upstream watersheds as one record); and 5) Hydrologic Cataloging Units (HUC, 8-digit sub-watersheds from the U.S. Geological Survey). The REIS files contain time series personal income and earning (wages) statistics derived from county-level information provided by the Bureau of Economic Analysis, 1969-96. All files are geo-referenced to NOAA's CAF. The REIS data are available for 1) counties; 2) states; 3) whole watersheds; and 4) HUC. The Time Series Demographic Statistics files (variables common to the 1970, 1980, 1990, and 2000 Censuses) derived from decennial census block group data provides information including population, race, occupation, industry, age, income, housing tenure, rent, telephone availability, automobile availability, and home heating fuel. The 2000 Census files contain only total population counts. All files are geo-referenced to NOAA's CAF. The data are available for: 1) census block groups; 2) counties; 3) states; 4) whole watersheds; and 5) HUC.\n</p> \t\t <p> \t\t\tThis data comprises government records extracted from the Archival Research Catalog (ARC).
