This series includes information from Energy Information Administration Form 7 on coal production, the number of mines, prices, productivity, employment, daily productive capacity, reserves, and stocks. These summary data are based on a survey of companies owning and/or operating mining operations that produced, processed, or prepared coal in the United State\ns. There are 12 record types: receipts, consumption, stocks, production-related data, demonstrated reserve base, recoverable reserves, distribution, imports, exports, gross national product data, generation, and sulfur content. Specific data includes a consumer code, Standard Industrial Classification code, data type and status, reporting time, geographic codes, coal type, mine type, transaction code, shipment code, data source code, bed thickness code, and reported value.\n
