The agency prepared summary statistic files for researchers. This series provides basic summary data on the economic, demographic, and sociological characteristics of minority, women, and non-minority male business owners and their business activities. Summary data are for four-digit Standard Industria\nl Classification code or eight industry divisions for the U.S. Summary data include the number of firms, owners, and receipts; ownership and operating status of business; age, marital status, veterans status, educational status, prior work and business experience of owner, personal income, and birthplace of owner; capital assets and acquisition of capital; home-based and franchise businesses; and percent of women and minority customers and employees. Data are presented by group, sector, receipts, employment, and legal form.\n
