The PNSS gathers data on the nutritional and behavioral risk factors that are associated with infant mortality and other poor birth outcomes among low-income pregnant women in the United States. PNSS data includes: pre-pregnancy weight status, weight gain, parity, interpregnancy intervals, anemia, WIC enrollment, vitamin consumption, smoking, and drinking\n.  <p><b>User Functionality</b></p> Users can view and download static data tables, which are organized by table number, health indicator and type of analysis.  <p><b>Data Notes</b></p> Participants are low-income pregnant women who utilized federally funded maternal and child health and nutrition programs. Data sources include: Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and Title V Maternal and Child Health Program. Data is available in PDF and HTML formats.
